HAEMATOSPIN 1300 MICRO HAEMATOCRIT CENTRIFUGE
This is a fast, quiet and easy to operate instrument, robust, well designed with a fail-safe electronic lid-lock. Built and assembled in Europe from durable, high quality components it has fast braking and acceleration and is PCB controlled with a variable timer and LED time display.
A choice of rotors is available separately to allow both haematocrit and micro chemistry preparations or a mixture of the two which give the unit added versatility in use.
- High Speed Drive developing RCF 13,000g for fast, accurate haematocrits
- High quality motor for vibration free, quiet operation
- Excellent acceleration and braking and smooth running characteristics
- Coated steel body giving total stability and low noise characteristics
- Simple intuitive operation suitable for any level of operator
- Range of easy to change and versatile rotors
- PCB controlled interlock lid
- Rugged components that will withstand years of hard service
- Includes 2m power cord, 100 each plain and heparinised 75mm capillary tubes and 1 plate of Cristaseal.
Dimensions: W230 x H245 x D280mm
Weight: 9.75kg.
Haematocrit (US hematocrit) definition:
a) An instrument which separates blood into cells and plasma, usually by centrifugation.
and also
b) The ratio of compacted red cells as a proportion of blood, as read in a capillary tube after centrifugation.
Decreased haematocrit (red cell) levels are associated with anaemia, hyperthyroidism, cirrhosis, bone marrow failure and numerous other pathogenic conditions.
Haematocrit accessories

Rotors and tubes
FE1881 Fixed angle acetal rotor, 20 x 1.5 - 2.0mL micro tubes
A durable black acetal machined rotor to take 20 micro chemistry tubes up to 2mL volume, with numbered tube positions for routine sample identification. The rotor inclines the samples at 45 degrees and runs at 11800 rpm giving RCF 14000g.
FE1890 Fixed angle acetal rotor, 8 x 1.5 - 2.0mL micro tubes
A durable black acetal machined rotor to take 8 micro chemistry tubes up to 2mL volume, with numbered tube positions for routine sample identification. The rotor inclines the samples at 30 degrees and runs at 16000 rpm giving RCF 19000g.
FE1971 Haematocrit rotor, 24 x 75mm capillary tubes
A balanced machined and perfectly concentric disc of solid aluminium, anodised and silk screened to give high integrity and long life. The rotor has numbered tube positions for routine sample identification.
FE1985 Multi combination rotor, 8 x capillary tubes, 12 x 1.5 - 2mL micro tubes, and/or 4 x 10.25mm diam. 2mL/3mL Vacutainers, and/or 4 x 12mm diam screw cap tubes
A further variation on the rotors above, this is the ideal rotor for users with a wider variety of sample types to process. The rotor takes 16 standard 75mm capillaries, and several different sizes of micro tubes, to accommodate screw cap lids, and both 11 and 12mm diameter micro tubes.
FE1986 Combination rotor, 16 x capillary tubes, 16 x 1.5 - 2mL micro tubes
A mixed capacity rotor to allow both haematocrit capillaries and capped micro tubes to be run in the same load and to give the operator a choice of options to reduce the need for rotor changes. The design is a modified version of the standard Haematocrit rotor above.
Rotors not included - please specify which one you require.
